Hyatt Group Legal Plan
Eligible graduate employees can elect to enroll in the optional, 100% employee paid Hyatt group legal plan, MetLaw. The employee premium to participate in MetLaw is $216/year payable over 6 monthly installments of $36. The minimum period of participation is the 12 month period of the 2019-20 plan year (10/1/19-9/30/20).
MetLaw can save employees hundreds of dollars in attorney fees for common
legal services like these:
—Estate planning documents, including Wills and Trusts

—Identity theft defense
—Financial matters, such as debt-collection defense
—Family Law, including adoption and name change
—Advice and consultation on personal legal matters

Who can be covered?
Your spouse and dependent children also have access to the plan benefits should you opt into this program.
The employee premium to participate in MetLaw is $216/year payable over 6 monthly installments of $36 via PayPal automatic payments.

How to Elect Coverage
You can enroll in this optional benefit only during the fall open enrollment period of September 1-September 24, 2019 using our online benefit application.
COVID-19 Related Updates
Beginning April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020, MetLife is offering employees that would like to keep their Hyatt legal plan benefits due to a COVID‐19 related leave of absence, unpaid leave, or termination the option to either port their plans for three months or choose our standard 12 month portability. To apply for portable enrollment, call the Client Service Center at 800.821.6400, Monday ‐ Friday (8am ‐ 8pm ET) to enroll in a portable plan. You must enroll within the month of May or June and within 30 days from your last date of employment.
How to End Coverage
If you enrolled in this benefit by mistake, you can let us know using the form below. Once you commit to enroll for the 12 month benefit period, we cannot end your coverage early.
